1. Introduction

MySocialStyle ("we", "us", or "our") is operated by Aterui Tech. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our website at mysocialstyle.com (the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. Because we designed this tool to be as privacy-friendly as possible, most of your data never leaves your own device.

2. Information We Collect

Assessment Data

When you complete the communication style assessment, your answers and results are stored locally on your device using your browser's localStorage. This data is not transmitted to or stored on our servers. Clearing your browser data will remove these results.

Purchase Information

When you purchase premium content, your payment is processed by LemonSqueezy, a third-party payment processor. We do not collect or store your payment card details. We receive a purchase confirmation record (including your email address as provided to LemonSqueezy) solely to verify and unlock your purchased content.

Email Subscription

If you subscribe to our email list, we collect your email address together with context about your signup: the page you subscribed from, the communication style (or style pairing) you were viewing, and whether you have made a purchase. We also record when we send you emails and whether you have unsubscribed. Subscribing is optional and is never required to use the Service or complete an assessment.

Comments

If you post a comment, the name you enter and the comment text are stored and displayed publicly on the page where you posted. Please do not include personal information you do not want others to see.

Usage Information

We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool that we host ourselves, to understand how visitors use the site (such as pages visited, button clicks and browser type). It does not use cookies to track you across websites and does not identify you personally.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the limited information we hold to:

• Verify and fulfil premium content purchases
• Send you emails if you subscribe, such as a welcome message, tips for your communication style, and occasional reminders about our premium guides
• Respond to support requests or enquiries you send to us
• Understand general usage patterns to improve the Service
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data to third parties. We send marketing emails only to people who have subscribed, and every email includes a link to unsubscribe in one click. If your subscription email matches a purchase, we do not send you promotional emails for content you have already bought. We also display third-party advertisements on some pages via Google AdSense (see Section 5).

4. Data Storage & Security

Assessment results exist only on your local device. Purchase verification records are stored securely via Supabase (our backend provider), which uses industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest. We retain purchase records only as long as necessary to provide the Service and meet legal requirements. Subscriber email addresses are kept until you ask us to delete them. If you unsubscribe, we keep the address on a suppression list so that we do not email you again by mistake, unless you ask us to delete it entirely.

We use your browser's localStorage to persist your assessment results and an access code that unlocks premium content you have purchased. If you clear your browser data you may lose access on that device, in which case contact us and we will help restore it. This data stays on your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

We also display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings. You can also opt out via the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding any personal data we hold about you, including the right to:

• Request access to the data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing, including unsubscribing from emails at any time using the link in any email we send
• Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
